California Trip

With Ryan off to Ireland and London on the 14th of March, Paul and I flew to Oakland, California for a few days. Grandma Mahoney, Uncle Mike and Kody came to get us at the Oakland Airport. We had a great time catching up and had lunch together at Applebees.
Our niece, Kody, in Grandma's kitchen.
On Sunday we drove down to San Jose to visit Aunt Michelle and Uncle Jim Light - we were able to see Michelle's cousin, Steve, his wife, Val, and their two kids, Ashley and Steven. Steve had to take the kids home to do homework but Val was able to stay for dinner and we all had a wonderful visit. A highlight was looking at Brandon's pictures from his BYU Synthesis tour to Scotland and England last summer. Uncle Jim and Aunt Michelle are world travelers and have been to the same places that he went to. It was a great day. Here is a picture with Michelle, Grandma Mahoney, Aunt Michelle, and Val.

More fun in California

We drove down to Fairfield, about thirty minutes from Richmond, and took a tour of the Jelly Belly Factory.
A picture of Ronald Reagan made completely out of jelly beans.
Thanks to a lot of rain lately, California was actually very colorful and green this trip. The kids will remember Grandma's yard, complete with the bell that they rang - and Grandma's piano studio.

Ryan's Eagle Court of Honor

Christmas in Colorado

Everyone was home for Christmas -- yeah! We had a great time going downtown to see the Denver City and County Building, making gingerbread houses, and enjoying everyone during the holidays. In the second picture, Justin, Brandon, Jaclyn and Ryan say good-bye to 2008, with Alicia as the exclamation mark!

Denver Nuggets Key Club Winner

Paul won the Key Bank drawing and was the key club winner for four free tickets to the Denver Nuggets game on January 30th, 5th row seats - He was interviewed on the score board at the beginning of the fourth quarter and got to stand courtside. He also received a Nuggets sweatshirt. Lots of fun!
